Game Overview

Burn Out is a humorously bleak narrative-driven exploration game set in the fluorescent purgatory of a corporate office. In a world where productivity is worshipped and caffeine is king, players assume the role of a nameless employee tasked with a single, all-consuming goal: collect every last cup of coffee in the building.

With a tone reminiscent of The Stanley Parable, Burn Out blends dark humor with satirical commentary on corporate culture, work-life imbalance, and the absurd rituals of the modern workplace. As players navigate the sea of identical office areas and passive-aggressive bulletin boards, they’ll uncover surreal details that hint at something deeply wrong beneath the surface of this “perfectly productive” environment.

Gameplay centres on speedy exploration, light puzzle-solving, and narrative discovery, all punctuated by dry wit and existential dread. The more coffee the player collects, the longer they can stave off the creeping threat of burnout—though they may come to question whether eternal productivity is a reward… or a curse.
